Pillar 0

Spatial Data Platform

The horizontal foundation for every operator who needs to know where their assets are and what's happening to them.

What it is

Stratumly's Spatial Data Platform is the horizontal foundation: user-defined feature layers, 2D web maps, a form builder for field capture, operational dashboards, and spatial analysis. Everything an operator needs to know what they own and what's happening to it.

Pillar 0 is what most teams currently stitch together from three or four products: a GIS for the asset register, a forms tool for field capture, a dashboard tool for executives, and a public-share product for stakeholders. Stratumly delivers all of it from one tenant, with a unified audit log, one user model, and one bill.

Capabilities

Feature layers for any asset

Available

Pipes, valves, signals, lamps, parcels, defects: define your own schema, no GDB required.

2D map & spatial analysis

Available

Pan, zoom, query and run buffer, intersect, proximity and heatmap analysis directly against your live layers. Outputs land back on the map as feature classes.

Form builder

Available

Drag-and-drop builder for inspection forms, near-miss reports, condition surveys, and bespoke data capture.

Native field app (iOS & Android)

In development

Capture, edit and sync from the field on a native app. Works offline and resolves cleanly when you come back online.

Real-time multi-user collaboration

In development

Multiple users edit the same map and asset register concurrently, with live presence and conflict-free updates.

Operational dashboards

Available

Live KPIs over your asset base. Pre-built templates for utilities, highways, councils, and rail.

Work orders

Available

Raise, assign and track maintenance jobs from the map or a dashboard. Field engineers pick them up on web or mobile, and shared-project partners can work them too.

Public maps and embeds

Available

Share read-only maps externally for planning notices, public works, and stakeholder engagement.

Audit log and edit history

Available

Every feature edit, form submission and dashboard share is traceable. Designed for FOI, RIDDOR and regulator audits.

Who it’s built for

Cross-industry use cases. For sector-specific detail, see the relevant Solutions page.

GIS / asset data managers
Own the canonical register for pipes, roads, structures or street furniture, run spatial analysis for regulator submissions, publish reference layers internally.
Field inspectors and stewards
Walk or drive a route on tablet, capture defects, near-misses and condition surveys on forms that work offline and auto-create features.
Operations supervisors
Watch live KPIs over the asset base, triage tickets on the map, dispatch field teams without a separate work-management product.
Planning, comms and engagement teams
Publish public-share maps for planning notices, works information and stakeholder engagement, with auto-expiring tokens.

How it works

  1. Define your asset schema

Create feature layers for any asset class (pipes, valves, defects, parcels, anything) with the fields and geometry types your team actually uses. No GDB, no proprietary schema lock-in.

  2. Capture from the field

Build inspection forms with a drag-and-drop builder. Inspectors fill them on tablet, offline-capable; submissions auto-create features with photos, geometry and attribution.

  3. Analyse and dashboard

Run buffer, intersect, proximity and heatmap analyses against your live layers. Bind results to dashboards with the same shared filters_json across all widgets.

  4. Publish and share

Embed maps in your intranet, share read-only links externally for committee packs and works notices, or expose a public-data portal, all with token expiry and an audit trail.

Integrations & data sources

  • EA flood-monitoring API

Live flood warnings polled every 15 minutes, rendered as a system-managed feature class.

    Available
  • EA flood-risk zones (shapefile)

Static planning polygons. Drop into the seed directory; re-seed to refresh.

    Available
  • Generic shapefile / GeoPackage / GeoJSON import

Bulk-import any standard spatial format into a feature layer.

    Available
  • OS Open Data (MasterMap, OpenRoads, OS Greenspace)

Reference layers under tier entitlement, refreshed on a schedule.

    Planned
  • Council CRM / customer-services webhooks

Two-way ticket sync so resident-reported issues land in the right defect layer.

Frequently asked

Do I have to use Pillars 1 and 2 to get value?
No. Pillar 0 is a complete product on its own. It's how most operators will use Stratumly day-to-day. Pillars 1 and 2 are add-ons for teams that also run surveys or twin critical assets.
What does a Pillar 0 deployment actually include?
One tenant, one user model, one bill, covering the asset register, the form builder, the mobile field app, the dashboards, public maps, spatial analysis, and the audit log. No licence splits between office, field and executive users, and no separate apps to log into.
Can I keep my existing data?
Yes. Import via shapefile, GeoPackage, GeoJSON, CSV with geometry or direct PostGIS connection. Your schema, your field names. Stratumly doesn't force a proprietary data model on you.
Does it work offline in the field?
Mobile forms are offline-capable with idempotent resubmit (clientSubmissionId guarantees no duplicates after a flaky connection). Map tiles and the most-recent feature snapshot pre-cache before going offline.
What does pricing look like?
Pillar 0 starts at £300/month including 15 named users (+£15/user above). One licence covers field, office and executive users. No per-app split.
