Pillar 1

Inspection & Intelligence

Turn periodic drone and LiDAR surveys into continuously-updated intelligence about your asset base.

What it is

Upload drone, LiDAR, and photogrammetry surveys. View them in 3D, run AI defect detection, collaborate in real time, and generate compliance reports, feeding new data straight back into your asset register.

Pillar 1 takes the periodic drone, LiDAR and photogrammetry surveys you already commission and turns them into structured asset data. Findings made in the 3D viewer link straight back to features in Pillar 0, so survey work doesn't end up as a PDF in someone's inbox.

Capabilities

Multi-source survey ingest

Available

Drone photogrammetry, fixed-wing LiDAR, terrestrial scans: one upload, one viewer, one project.

AI-assisted defect detection

In development

Pretrained models for cracks, corrosion, vegetation encroachment, and surface defects. Fine-tunes to your asset base over time.

Compliance-ready reports

Available

One-click PDF generation in your industry's reporting format, with traceable evidence.

Collaborative review

Available

Live cursors, camera-follow, and synced selection inside the 3D viewer. Two engineers on the same survey see each other's pin and what they're looking at in real time.

Change detection between revisits

In development

DTM differencing between flights returns moved-material polygons, volume diffs and surface-change polygons as feature classes.

Findings link to features

Available

Accepted annotations land back in your Pillar 0 asset register as defect features with full provenance: survey, frame, AI confidence, reviewer.

Who it’s built for

Cross-industry use cases. For sector-specific detail, see the relevant Solutions page.

Bridge and structure engineers
Ingest General and Principal Inspection drone surveys, annotate defects in 3D, roll element scores up to BCI / SCI without spreadsheet re-entry.
Pipeline and OLE engineers
Fly drone or fixed-wing LiDAR over corridors, let AI flag vegetation encroachment, leaks and clearance violations, review and accept findings as features.
Construction QSs and site engineers
Weekly progress drones with volumetric takeoff against the schedule and bill of quantities, design-vs-built deviation against the IFC model.
Estate and civic-property teams
Annual civic-estate condition surveys with AI flagging facade defects, missing street furniture and unsafe assets, results back in the register without re-keying.

How it works

  1. Upload the survey

Drag-and-drop .las / .laz / mesh / orthoimagery / IFC into a project. Multiple sources per project: drone photogrammetry plus fixed-wing LiDAR plus terrestrial scans in one viewer.

  2. Process and view in 3D

The processing pipeline produces a 3D tileset and an orthomosaic. Engineers fly the asset in browser, with measurement, section and clip tools.

  3. AI flags candidate defects

Pretrained defect models (cracks, corrosion, vegetation, surface defects) render annotations on candidate findings with confidence scores. Models fine-tune to your asset base over time.

  4. Review, accept and report

Engineers accept or reject AI annotations; accepted findings link back to features in your asset register. One-click PDF report generation in your industry's format with full traceable evidence.

Integrations & data sources

  • Drone vendor passive ingest (DJI, Skydio, AgEagle, Microdrones)

Post-flight upload of .las / .laz / mesh / orthoimagery. Vendors own the live-flight surface; we own what happens after.

    Available
  • IFC / Revit BIM import

Bring your design model in alongside the as-built point cloud for design-vs-built deviation analysis.

    Available
  • Flight-plan import (KML / KMZ / shapefile)

Planned route renders alongside actual capture for coverage reconciliation.

    Planned
  • Track-geometry car output (TRC, NMT, IRIS-320)

Threshold-rule extraction lands geometry exceedances as features in the track-defects layer.

    Planned
  • Export to QS / CDE systems (ACC, Procore, Aconex)

Two-way ticket and document sync for shops that already run a CDE.

Frequently asked

Do you fly the drone for us?
No. Pillar 1 is passive-ingest. You (or your survey vendor) fly the asset and upload the result. We deliberately don't compete with DJI or Skydio on the live-flight surface; we focus on what happens to the data afterwards.
Which file formats do you accept?
.las / .laz point clouds, OBJ / GLTF meshes, GeoTIFF / orthomosaic imagery, IFC for design models, and standard photogrammetry outputs from Pix4D / DroneDeploy / Agisoft.
How accurate is the AI defect detection?
Pretrained models cover cracks, corrosion, vegetation encroachment and surface defects out of the box. They fine-tune to your asset base over time on the accept/reject signal from your engineers, so performance improves the more you use it.
Can I use Pillar 1 without Pillar 0?
Pillar 1 requires Pillar 0. Accepted findings need a feature register to land in, so the two are sold together for that reason.
What does pricing look like?
Pillar 1 starts at £600/month as a flat add-on on top of Pillar 0. Your whole Pillar 0 team gets access — no per-user metering on top of the add-on price.
